Deep tissue
This massage technique is mainly used to treat musculo-skeletal problems, strains and sports injuries.
It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep movements to target the inner layers of your muscle.
It's more than a Swedish massage. Deep tissue uses firm pressure to massage the deep layers of muscle and fascia.
It breaks down muscle adhesion ( nodes). These nodes can inhibit our circulation and cause pain and inflammation.
However, the massage usually begins with light pressure to warm your muscles.
